Use Case 7: Upcoming Statute Monitoring

Overview: Proactively identifies claims approaching statute-of-limitations deadlines at FNOL and upon reopening to prevent missed legal deadlines and avoidable litigation.

Upcoming Statues track open and re-opened claims that are approaching the statute of limitations. These also include highlighted claims predicted for litigation. Claims at FNOL that are already nearing their statute-of-limitations deadlines must be monitored closely so adjusters know and plan early when time-sensitive action is required. This action also includes the automatic flagging of claims where upcoming statutory windows may affect coverage, liability, or required notices.

The Goal

to ensure adjusters never miss a legal deadline that could expose the carrier to unnecessary litigation or penalty. By flagging statute-of-limitations risks at FNOL, insurers can take timely action, protect compliance, and prevent claims from slipping into avoidable disputes. In short, early statute visibility = fewer surprises, fewer escalations, and stronger legal defensibility
